Fusion 2022 Recap

Fusion Day 1

July 20, 2022

Our three-day conference began with a variety of training sessions hosted by D2L experts, followed by several networking opportunities to meet and greet industry experts. We covered a range of topics, including content, assignments and quizzes.

We welcomed attendees to the Fusion Lounge. This space gave attendees a chance to interact with D2L’s subject-matter experts, learn about the Champions Program, see product demos and network with their peers.

We also hosted our Executive Summit on making education ageless. It featured keynote speeches from Dr. Michelle Weise, vice president of strategy and innovation at the National University System and Stephanie Marken, partner, education division at Gallup, and two incredible panel discussions on the future of work and learning.

John Baker, president and CEO of D2L, took the stage with his inspiring welcome keynote. He shared his insights on what’s next for the world, learning and D2L.

Following John’s welcome keynote, attendees enjoyed the Fusion welcome drink. International Strings provided music.

Fusion Day 2

July 21, 2022

Our second day started with Jogging with John, a wellness activity hosted by John Baker.

We kicked off the day talking about our latest product innovations and service offerings with D2L Solutions Spotlight. We followed this with product deep-dive presentations, in which we shared product enhancements that support the needs in corporate, higher ed and K-12. It was a day full of interesting presentations hosted by customers, D2Lers and partners.

D2L experts also hosted several labs to share tips and solutions on topics ranging from accessible and inclusive learning to knowledge on D2L Brightspace and user experience research.

We wrapped up the day with an evening event at the Museum of Science, where guests enjoyed drinks, appetizers and entertainment while taking in views of the Charles River.

Fusion Day 3

July 22, 2022

Fusion Day 3 began with sunrise yoga, which was hosted by D2Lers Christa Hardy and Martha Fedorak.

The rest of the day was packed with discussions, panels and sessions relating to important areas, such as professional development, course design, personalized learning and many more.

Dr. Wendy Suzuki, a neuroscientist at New York University, took the stage with her closing keynote. She introduced neuroscience- and psychology-backed tools to help transform anxiety into something, blowing everyone away with her expertise and knowledge.

We’re so grateful to have shared another amazing event with you.
We can’t wait to see you at Fusion 2023.
